Who is Life Community?
It’s a tough question to answer since God is continually growing us and changing us. But, we can tell you who we think we are today and who we’re becoming. Here’s what we hope you experience as you meet us and get to know us:
Life Community Church is called to Make A Difference by leading people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ in our community and in our world.
COMMUNITY
Life Community is not a building or a name, but a growing community of people seeking to discover and know God in a real way and who want to make a difference in this world. We desire to learn to live life to its fullest. We come from all walks of life, young and old, professionals and students, stay-at-home moms and engineers. Jesus Christ said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life…” Therefore, we look to Jesus and the Bible to lead and guide us to live life to it’s fullest as we connect with God and live for something bigger than ourselves.
People are a priority to us and to God. We believe that church should be a place where anyone, regardless of background or beliefs can come investigate and experience who God is. To help us see where we are going and to keep us on mission, our vision is to Reach, Grow, and Impact the community.
REACH
It’s important to us to reach out and engage people with the message of God’s love. We have a vision of a church where everyone is valued and welcome. Jesus himself came to reach the world with the message of saving grace and hope that comes through a relationship with Him. God has now passed the torch on to us, His people, to bring this message to our community and to our world. We believe that real church happens in the context of community, building relationships with each other where needs are met, victories can be shared, and real church can take place. Life is better together!
GROW
It’s important to us to grow and be transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ. We have a vision of a church where everyone is changed. You can see this on the weekends in the way we approach God’s Word, teach the truth we find there, and respond personally and tangibly to the way it stirs our hearts. You can see it during the week in teams and community groups that seek that knowledge together. You can also see or experience it with life coaching through teaching, mentoring, and discipling in order to nurture a growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ that we may become more and more like Him.
We understand that we can be transformed through experiencing the Living God through our worship of Him. Jesus said, “to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, this is the greatest commandment.”
IMPACT
It’s important to us to impact our community and world by serving others. We have a vision of a church where everyone is Making A Difference. We seek to serve God in all we do. We believe that everyone has a God designed place to serve as well. God gives us all gifts, talents, and resources that are intended to be used to serve Him by serving others.
